Since 2020, our team at RAZR has been in partnership with Gifts for Seniors, an incredible nonprofit that holds a special place in our hearts. What began as a way to safely give back during the pandemic has become one of our most meaningful ongoing philanthropy efforts.
Each month, a small group of RAZR employees heads to the Gifts for Seniors warehouse to help pack care packages, organize donated items, and prep special deliveries. Every task, whether it’s inventory or hand-selecting items from seniors’ wish lists, connects us to a powerful mission: reducing social isolation among older adults.
The nonprofit’s roots are deeply personal. Its founder, moved by the loneliness her grandmother experienced, set out to make sure others felt less alone. Today, Gifts for Seniors serves over 8,000 older adults annually through inclusive, year-round programs that focus on dignity, connection, and care.
For volunteers like DeeDee, one of RAZR’s most frequent attendees, it’s about more than just giving back.
Fellow team member Stefanie echoed the sentiment, noting that the experience brings “a sense of pride and happiness” both in supporting the company’s mission and in knowing that the care packages we help assemble will brighten someone’s day.
And the impact isn’t one-sided. These outings offer a rare chance for coworkers to connect outside of the office in a relaxed, meaningful setting. “It’s always a small group,” DeeDee added. “We chit-chat while we work, and by the end, you’ve bonded over something that just feels really good.”
From being little elves during the holiday season to supporting everyday needs, our partnership with Gifts for Seniors continues to remind us of the power of human connection and the joy that comes from knowing someone out there cares.
